Guggenheim Museum

Conceived by the visionary Frank O. Gehry, this architectural icon breaks with traditional schemes to become a majestic temple of modern and contemporary art. The audacity of its design, where sinuous shapes and innovative materials are intertwined, creates a space that not only houses, but also dialogues with the works that reside there. If desired, guests can also enter the Museum. Normally, 1 hour is a sufficient amount of time to enjoy the museum. (Entrance tickets not included and we do not guide inside museum). However, we can add a private guided tour of the museum and entrance tickets for an additional surcharge if you wish. We will explain the history of the building, gentrification of the city and outside pieces of art on the tour.

The Ribera Market

We then make our way to the Ribera Market (the largest covered market in Europe) to take a look at all the fresh products, fish, and meats, all originating from the sea and local countryside. Walking through the grand Ribera Market is always a treat for our guests. You will see some things that are sure to surprise! This is a great cultural immersion when visiting Bilbao city.

The Old Town

Take a trip back in time as we walk through Bilbao’s scenic Casco Viejo or Old Part, which highlights the 700 year old buildings and architecture that make this area so unique. Points of interest on our Bilbao guided tour include century old Cathedrals, City Hall, local Basque food markets, and other interesting anecdotes associated with the history of the city.

Spectacular Views from Artxanda

The spectacular views from Artxanda are a treat for the eyes, a natural showcase that offers an unparalleled panoramic view of vibrant urban life, framed by the serenity of nature. Rising above the bustle of the city, this viewpoint is a refuge where the horizon stretches as far as the eye can see, allowing visitors to absorb the magnitude of Bilbao in a single glance. From here, the intertwining of rivers, mountains and modern and traditional architecture coexist in harmony, offering a visual spectacle that changes with the hours, bathed in the light of dawn or dusk. Each visit to Artxanda is an opportunity to contemplate, reflect and connect with the urban landscape from a privileged perspective, where heaven and earth meet in a unique point of view.
